I am a Dru Yoga teacher (Dip DYT, MRDY, BSc), trained in Leeds (200hr Diploma 2012) under the guidance
of Mona Fairholme and a wonderful team of inspiring teachers. I have experienced a variety of yoga styles and traditions over
the years but fell in love with the flow and potency of Dru, a style of yoga that's fully accessible, that everyone
can experience and benefit from.
I teach classes, retreats and workshops full-time throughout
Wharfedale, Yorkshire and am a yoga tutor for the WEA (Workers Educational Association) and support tutor on the Leeds Dru
Yoga Teacher Training Course, I believe in teaching with warmth and creating a safe and nurturing environment for each person
to get in touch with their body, breath and mind, and hope that people leave my class relaxed and smiling inside and out.
I have grown up children, love walking, mountains and travelling in our campervan, have a degree
in psychology and am also a musician playing folk and rock in local bands Summercross and Restless Natives
Why North Star?
The word "Dru" as in Dru Yoga derives from the sanskrit "Dhruva" or
North Star. The North Star is the still point in the night sky, whilst all other stars appear to move, likewise in our yoga
we aim to reach that still point within ourselves
